My first approach to photography was in front of the lens, as a model. Since observation is an essential quality of the photographer, I found myself in a very advantageous position. I first analyzed the light around me, learned to position myself in relation to it and tried to understand a shooting's setup. Being a subject gave me the advantage of knowing the feeling of vulnerability felt in front of the lens. Convinced that we only extract from a person what they give us, I make sure that each of them feels comfortable by guiding and accompanying them, so that they can deliver themselves authentically. I like working outdoors because I like the idea that it is up to the photographer to play with the environment and compose with it, while remaining attentive to what is happening there. This makes the creative moment more spontaneous and more alive.

 

My photography is fueled by a cinematic imagination and naturally nourishes my other field of expression: writing and filmmaking. My experience as a director allows me to visualize a project in its entirety, to imagine the entire artistic direction of a photoshoot and to find all the material and financial means to realize it.
